The ceremony of signing the credit contract between SUE “Khizmatrasonii naqliyoti sanitary” (Sanitary Transport Service) and European Bank on Reconstruction and Development(EBRD) took place recently in the Ministry of Finance in Dushanbe. As “avesto” information agenthy was informed in press centre of MF of RT, there was also signed a treaty about guarantee given by the RT for the project of “Solid waste management in Khujand”.

 According to the source the aim of the project is rehabilitation of solid waste management service in Khujand. The main components of the project are rehabilitation of waste collecting points and operational centre, modernization of landfill , construction works in existing waste collecting points and its expansion, landfill cleaning operations, special equipments for solid waste recycling, specialized transport and working equipment. «Total sum of the project is estimated $5, 94 million, from which $2.5 million is the credit of EBRD. Special Joint-stock Fund of EBRD will provide finance in the scale of $2.5 million and technical assistance in the amount of $500000 as an additional source financing. Technical assistance is also provided by Investitional Fund for Central Asia in the amount of $440000” the source informed.

«The Project will be realized by 31 of March, 2015», the source clarified. According to the source in this project SUE “Khizmatrasonii naqliyoti sanitary” is a borrower of EBRD. Ministry of Finance acts as the guarantor of borrower on behalf of the authority of RT. «Besides, for successful realization of the project close interaction with Local Government of Khujand city is provided», concluded the press centre of the ministry of finance.
